The app
Hold to Say processes your voice entirely on your Mac. Specifically:
- Audio is never stored. It is captured into memory, transcribed on-device, and discarded seconds later. It is never written to disk and never uploaded anywhere.
- Transcripts are stored only on your Mac. The text of your dictations is saved locally so the app can show your history and stats. That file lives in your user Library, never leaves your machine, and can be wiped any time with "Clear history" in the app.
- The app makes no network calls during dictation. The only network activity is the one-time download of the speech model and checking for app updates.
- There are no accounts, no telemetry and no analytics in the app.
